The Dangers of Monitoring Your Home Alarm System With Your Cell Phone
Posted on Sunday, January 15, 2012 by Lisa Stanford
Security systems have become very popular over the last 10-15 years and are now virtually standard in new home construction. Many new owners are so busy with moving to set up monitoring is the last thing on your mind especially if they have never had a security system. When they finally get around to it because I was broken and they keep getting pestered by the security company reps, they soon begin to realize they have to consider adding to yet another monthly expense to their budget. If this sounds familiar, you have three basic options at this point.
As we all try to save money during these economic times, we are constantly looking for ways to reduce our monthly expenses. When it comes to tracking the fees paid for a security company, instead of trying to get a lower rate, some believe only through the security system as a noise maker or have an alarm system contact our cell phones instead.
of the first two options are pretty self explanatory, and it is a third option that could be a big mistake for several reasons and I would say that everyone is aware of these risks. Yes, you can save on your monthly budget, but what risk? First of all, let's face it, no matter where you go, or your cell phone provider, we all lose signal from time to time. Whether you drive through the tunnel, getting on a plane, in a building, or a phone in another room, there is a chance that you might miss a call. Remember "Murphy Law" Whatever can happen, Will ."
Now imagine that you get a call from your security system from your doma.Sigurnosni system will send you a series of tones or beeps to let you know which zone is breached. Do you want to sit counting up to 15 sounds (or was it 16?) Find, for example, that the motion sensor, while they are robbing you blind? Are you really going to remember how many beeps are represented, so you can inform the police, who enter the check! Maybe, but I doubt the majority. Oh, it gets better.
Now imagine that you have in your home, and someone has just broken in. Your land line is now seized by the security system as designed. As he calls your phone and try to send signals, now even your cell phone is busy. Most systems will continue to send signals and would therefore occupying your phone until the threat is there in your home. Most people are not willing to risk this kind of real scenarios in order to avoid to save a few bucks a month. Sounds good on the surface, but once you realize that the peace that comes from the security system there is not any more reasonable.
I want to be clear in saying that most people I talk, which were broken for the first time, you simply can not believe that happened to them. Some have lived in the same house for 20 years and never had to worry about becoming a victim. What I mean is that your house never get broken into May. But I will say this, if this happens, it becomes the victim of a horrible feeling and it affects all family members. If you are looking for peace of your security system, you May want to consider if the peace will be achieved by programming a security system to call your cell phone.
